2017 West-Con Ag Days
The 2017 West-Con Ag Days is going to be a redesigned version of our previously held West-Con Ag Days. This second annual event will be held at the West-Con main office, which is surrounded by 180 acres of easy access plots and demonstrations. This year’s layout will not only be guest-friendly, but also designed with vendors in mind with an increase in foot traffic. Our goal is to provide a place where farmers and other leaders in the Agriculture industry can get pertinent information on current issues and concerns, by hosting several dozen local ag vendors where farmers can get one-on-one answers straight from the source.
The event will be held August 23rd, 2017 with several different agronomic stations put on by not only the West-Con agronomy staff, but also representatives from Monsanto, Winfield and CPS, among others. Even as a one day event, the presentations have been redesigned to prevent any overlap and expand attendance.
We are also excited to announce the return of the root pit, which this year will include corn, soybeans and cover crop varieties. We will also be holding hands-on demonstrations which will include drone flights, disease and pest scouting and crop diagnostics to name a few. For those in attendance, we will be giving away commemorative hats to the first 250 people.
