Corn futures were trading lower on the overnight session. March 25 futures are running into some resistance around 4.95-4.98. December 25 futures made new highs this week. Brazil’s safrinha planting is moving along this week due to improving weather conditions. PNW rail values have picked up this week as the lineup grows. Barge freight was stronger this week for spring delivery. Argentina’s weather remains hot and dry, so we will watch to see if the USDA does an adjustment in next week’s WASDE report.

November 25 futures are running into some resistance at its 200-day moving average. March board crush margins are falling off the highs. US processor bids are holding steady. The same news for South America in the bean markets. The market will continue to watch the weather in Argentina and the harvest progress in Brazil.
Spring Wheat -2
Winter Wheat -2
Wheat futures were mixed during the overnight session. Mpls March 25 futures reached a new high of 6.34’6 on the overnight. KC March 25 futures traded above its 200-day moving average for the first time since October 2024. The strength in the wheat markets has been coming from technical buying.
